Dwight Cline's Army Goulash:
Ingrediants
1 Lb hamburger 1 medium onion 2- 16 oz cans of pork and Beans 6 1/2 oz's tomato sauce Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste chili powder to taste.
Instructions
Brown hamburger with onions, Mix in pork and beans chili powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and tomato sauce. Let simmer for about 30 minutes.
Historical note: During World war one this dish would have been made with one of three kinds of meat- canned beef from the US, Argentina beef called "Canned Horse" and the British version of the dish used what was known as "Bully Beef"- corned beef. Also the most unpleasant tasting French Version of this dish using beef from Madagascar and the Doughboys called it "Monkey Meat". In WW2 I am sure this recipe survived.
Another note: I added the garlic to this recipe.

You missed the hash we had at the last two battles. It was great. You can also use pork roast instead of chicken for that hash recipe.
