This was the third time the 505th had jumped into combat. They had learned what to bring and what they didn't need.
Here is the Impression
M2 or M1C Helmet with chin cup, small helmet net Only (very little scrim was used by the 82nd Airborne if any)
Jeep Cap or A4 Mechanics Cap
M42 re-enforced or standard jumpsuit with trouser suspenders with US Flags sewn to right sleeve
M1937 Wool shirt
T-shirt or tank top shirt in OD, white t-shirt or tea stain dyed
Jump Boots
Web trouser belt and suspenders
Pistol belt with rigger pouches, or M1923 Cartridge belt and M1936 suspenders (felt pads optional)
First aid pouch with bandage on your belt, and Airborne 1st Aid Pouch
Entrenching tool with pouch (T or folding, one pick max per squad, one hand axe max per platoon)
Canteen, cup, cover
Spoon
Bayonet (rubber one OK)
Fighting Knife M3 (rubber one ok)
Switchblade knife (repro)
Gas Mask Bag (Rubberized or M6 Canvas)
Musette Bag
Raincoat
most of the 82nd did not use a Let Down Rope. They used their reserve parachute as a Let Down Rope in order to carry less weight
