Maybe there should be a thread on MV's.. My WC52 will be in action if the battles are closer to Southern California.. 5600 pounds without trailer is tough to pull.. Unless Fernie is Pulling.... joke..... don't shoot me

Damn, Dwight. She is a fine lady. I will post up a couple pics of Tilly when she's got her new back seat in! Thanks for posting and give us some more background.

Contd. Jeeps are a family affair. Brett, Fernie & Marsha, Mayo, JB, Dave P, and others, have put in hours and expertise, blood and sweat, to put my girl back on the road after almost 80 years...

When i bought it it had been completely civilianized. Only GI thing left on it was the rifle rack. I'd say its about 80% restored. The exhaust is wrong and the air filter system needs to be redone original. Still has some small details to work through. It was made in may of 44 near as I can tell. The hood numbers are wrong. i used the numbers off the jeep they drive off the beach in saving private ryan. I since have a good number and when i do a repaint / hood replacement ill change it. Did the whole restoration myself from pictures and internet sources. Used in in "Patton and the desperate tank attack" episode of man moment machine. I even got named in the credits !! Should add at least a million to the value of the jeep for sure.

Very cool. My Jeep was in a zombie pilot film which failed, but it was sure fun. Probably wont add any value, so I will have to rely on the fact that its a Ford script jeep. I have a couple more projects for restoration, too: front bumper replacement, horn, leaf springs...

My breaks just went out on my WC52---I almost killed a family in a Prius.. So scary... I feel like i should put some disc breaks and power steering on her.. It's so big and dangerous on the road I would never want to hit a car because with 5600 pounds running down the street... Today was scary... I had to pull the emergency break..
