Troopers, Here is a GREAT source for very well done reproduction K-Rations. This vendor also has TONS of other little things you can have for your impression, including (among other things): period batteries, matchbooks, D-Bars, Foot Powder, gum, condoms, repro/dummy blasting caps, fake/inert explosives and much more! I buy the boxes and make my own to save cash. Hogan does have good rations.

I buy the boxes and make my own to save cash. Hogan does have good rations. That is definitely a great way to do it, especially if someone has dietary restrictions. Another great way to save money, is to buy canned food at the store, without the pull top, and spray paint it gold. These would pass as C-Rations...

Anyone know if there's a new site for Hogan's? Asking just in case. Thanks!

Thank you, Lieutenant, I try to eliminate the farb as much as possible. This sight gives a good idea of which items go in your kit. If I can't get the period label, I always remove the store markings and paper. Combat is hard and paper doesn't stick around. I am positive that many times the trooper never knew what was in the can until the moment of truth. Also, the site was good to mention no pop tops.
