Hey everyone. My name is Michael. I'm 20 and from Thousand Oaks, CA, about 30 minutes north of LA, and I've been considering making my first post here for at least 2 years now. I've been really interested in getting into reenactment for awhile now and I can't think of a better group than yours to join with! All my life I've been a huge history buff, specifically interested in the early 20th century, especially the two World Wars and the Interwar period! I admire the dedication and accuracy all of you put into your craft and I would love to be able to be a part of a group that treats the vital history of the 20th century with as much passion as I do. What I wanted to ask in this post is basically how many events you will be active in over the course of this year, and if there are any throughout the Summer months (May to August). I ask because, currently, I am at university in Boston. Right now, I only have one year left, and will be back in Southern California for good in May of next year. While making my first introduction might be a little premature at this moment, at the very least I wanted to make a quick introduction so you could get to know me a little bit and so I could express how interested I am in joining. If possible, I would love to come out to one of your upcoming events and be able to introduce myself in person! I look forward to hearing back from you!
Best,
Michael

Michael, I, for one, look forward to meeting you. Your enthusiasm sings in my ears! Our unit is quite spread out, ranging from UT and NV (even OK) and all through CA. I actually live in the Oxnard/Ventura area so it would be no problem for us to meet up or even carpool to events when you are home is SoCal. I can also be of some help when you are ready to start purchasing gear. I hope to see you at some of our events when you return home
Regards, Cpl. James "Trooper Bleed"
